Job Search AI Operating System — Tailor, Apply, Interview, Negotiate

The recurring work of a job search, done the same way every week, from your own record — never an invented claim, never an hour spent on a role below your minimum pay. Tailor & apply — one check card first (is it real, the pay, your fit, who you know there), then a resume and cover letter that lead with what you did and what came of it, the posting terms that made it in, and the application-form answers Work my inbox — recruiter replies in your voice, interviews on your calendar, rejections read once and closed Prep for an interview — a sourced company brief, then a brief for the round that's actually next, built from your Story Bank — and a practice round, one question at a time Follow up & negotiate — thank-you notes, a follow-up cadence, an offer worksheet, and a counter built on your minimum pay Run my weekly review — what moved, what's stale, where your search stalls (reply rate by source), exactly three moves, focus blocks on your calendar Setup takes about two minutes. Paste your resume, confirm your minimum pay, and press "Try it on a sample": it tailors one application for a made-up job seeker so you see the finished work first. Every individual prompt included — 38 skills in all, from a posting decoder, a build-a-resume-from-scratch interview, and a people tracker for referrals to mock interviews, references, a counter-offer handler, and a severance script — plus a click-to-copy version for ChatGPT or any AI. Drafts land in your personal Gmail, Calendar, and Drive; nothing sends, submits, accepts, or declines without your click. Guardrails, always on — is this real (the caution signals official guidance names for job scams, and signs a posting isn't an open role), your minimum pay (a role below it is flagged before you spend time on it), every claim holds up (each one has to survive "what exactly did you do?"), nothing undersold (a real win buried or left out gets flagged), and no invention (any figure with no source in your record becomes [confirm]). They flag; the decisions stay yours. Who it's for: anyone looking for work — a nurse moving to a clinic job, a teacher changing districts, a bookkeeper going full-time, a loan officer changing lenders, an engineer going back to hands-on work — who won't put a claim on a resume they can't back. It handles hourly pay (with differentials and guaranteed hours), annual salaries, commission, and salary schedules, and every stage from a first job to a career change or a return to work. Guides for 108 professions and trades are built in, from nurses, teachers, and bookkeepers to electricians, cooks, truck drivers, and software developers: how each is hired, screened, and paid, drawn from public BLS and O*NET data. Needs the Claude desktop app on a paid Claude plan. No terminal, no config files — if you've looked at the open-source job-search tools built for Claude Code and thought "I'm not a developer", this is the same idea for the Claude app. Free — pay what you want. Enter $0 and it's yours. The download asks for an email so I can send you updates when the skills change; free updates for as long as the product exists. Prefer no email? The same plugin is on GitHub at github.com/alexclowe/job-search-os and installs from Customize → Plugins → Add marketplace. — Alex Lowe, The AI Career Lab Common questions: What do I need to run it? The Claude desktop app on a paid Claude plan. Upload one plugin file into a Project and say "set up my Job Search OS". Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive are optional — use a personal account, never an employer's. Without them, everything comes out copy-paste-ready. Will it write things that aren't true? No. Every metric, title, date, and accomplishment has to trace to your resume, profile, or Story Bank; anything else becomes [confirm]. A second guard checks that every claim could survive an interview question and strips the words that mark a document as machine-written. Will it work in ChatGPT or Gemini? The individual prompts will: each one also ships in a click-to-copy version you can paste into ChatGPT, Gemini, or any AI. The five jobs, the command center, and the trackers run in Claude. Will anything send without me? No. Everything is a draft. If Gmail is connected, replies wait in your Drafts folder; otherwise everything comes out copy-paste-ready. Nothing sends, submits, accepts, or declines without your click. Does it give legal or salary advice? No. It organizes compensation evidence you supply (every figure with a source) and holds to the minimum pay you set. Separation agreements, equity, and non-competes get a "worth a professional's eyes" line, not an answer. Is this really free? Yes. Pay what you want, $0 minimum. If it lands you a role and you want to send something back, the box is there; nothing is gated on it. Updates go to the email you download with. Why give it away? Because a job search ends. The AI Operating Systems I sell are for the job you land — one per profession — and this is the one I'd want a friend to have while they're looking. Is there a version on GitHub? Yes: github.com/alexclowe/job-search-os is the same plugin as its own marketplace, MIT licensed, with a profession-archetype registry you can contribute to. The kit here adds the PDF guides.
